The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble Alpes
Located in the heart of the Alps, the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble Alpes (CHUGA) has a recognized national and international expertise in traumatology. With nearly 230,000 cases treated, more than 100,000 emergency room visits, nearly 5,000 emergency operating room operations and nearly 2,000 helicopter trips, CHUGA is a reference center of the trauma care network.
In order to maintain this level of excellence and further improve the care of patients, the CHUGA committed to the construction of a new technical platform, a new high-performance building dedicated to emergencies and resuscitation.
One of the peculiarities of this project is the complexity of its studies in terms of soil and structure interaction, since the soil is very weak in terms of mechanical characteristics.
But since there’s no challenge that can beat us, our engineering department calculated and developed a structural solution with earthquake support t even capable of withstand a high magnitude earthquake.
